How to Make an HP BIOS Recovery USB

I just had an issue: HP's own utility does not work to create a recovery drive, even though their directions say to use it for that purpose. Now, how should I create an HP BIOS recovery USB?

BIOS, or Basic Input Output System, is the program to start the computer system after it is powered on. It also manages your data flow between the computer's operating system and attached devices, including hard disk, video adapter, keyboard, mouse, and printer.

If the BIOS on your computer is outdated, you may update it so that you can start your system successfully. HP allowers users to back up BIOS data. However, some people just don't know how to do so successfully. Here are the steps to do so without a hassle.

  1. Step 1. Turn off your computer and connect the AC adaptor. Then, press the power button to turn on the computer, you need to also press the F11 key simultaneously.
  2. Step 2. When the Choose an option screen opens, select Troubleshoot. Then, select Recovery Manager on the next screen. After that, select File Backup to continue.
  3. Step 3. Then, you can choose Auto Selection to select the file type you want to back up instead of the individual files. Or, you can select User Selection to select individual files. After choosing, click Next.
  4. Step 4. Select the storage device to save the backup, and click Next. Then, click Next again to confirm the backup option. After that, the Recovery Manager will display the progress in backing up.

Normally, this process goes smoothly. But some people say that they can't do it and they are anxious to know how they can make an HP BIOS recovery USB. If you are one of them, you can try a third-party tool called EaseUS Todo Backup to make a backup on your own.
