I recently installed EaseUS Partition Master. I used it to merge my c and f drive, but now I have a problem: it has been stuck at 20% for the past 7 hours. My c drive was filed. It has 95 GB ( 50 MB left), and that's why I merged them. Is there a way to cancel or force this operation to proceed faster?

According to your description, there may be a bad sector on your hard drive or a logical error in the partition, which leads to a freeze or even crash during the partition merging process. To avoid similar problems next time, you can run HD tune or CHKDSK commands to check the hard drive and partition errors.
However, it's not recommended to merge the C drive directly since it contains vital system and bootable files. EaseUS Partition Master is your ideal choice as it offers versatile features of allocating free space to the C drive without merging. It will help you move free space from another partition to the system partition without data loss.
Download this disk expert software and follow the steps here:
Step 1. Install this software and open the"Partition Manager" window, right-click on any partition with a lot of free space. Select the "Allocate Space" option.
Step 2. Select the partition that needs to be extended and drag the partition panel rightward or leftward to add the free space. Then click "OK" in the confirmation message.
Step 3. Hit the "Execute Task" > "Apply" options to begin.
Beyond allocating free disk space from other partitions, users can also shrink the partition with enough space to create unallocated space, which can extend the C drive:
